today

October 26th, 2007

Today is one of those days where I’ll spend no more than 5 minutes at home.

I borrowed Darek’s car for the occasion, because I don’t want to take mine any farther into Dallas than my workplace, which is on the edge of Richardson. My camera bag is locked up in a rickety cabinet; both of the keys are in my pocket. I’m going to a rehearsal directly after work.

Tomorrow is Saturday, and I’ll wake up early to get ready forĀ a wedding, after most likely going to bed late tonight. It takes a while to prep for a wedding: clear the cards, clean the lenses, charge the batteries, print out directions, review consultation sheets, memorize names, get equipment packed up.

I also need to finish a wedding from 3 weeks ago that’s due to be uploaded tomorrow. I guess I’ll do that after tomorrow’s wedding.

It’s busy, it’s stressful, it’s a little bit hard.

But I know I’ll be sad when it’s over, and Monday morning comes.

And I see a light, at the end of the two-job tunnel, that makes it all okay.
